01-Where is University CEU Cardenal Herrera located?

We are aware that location is a key fact when you are planning on studying abroad, as it will have a big impact in your personal and academic life. Our university’s main campus is located in Valencia, the third largest city in Spain, which guarantees excellent transport connections to the main Spanish and European cities…we are just a couple of hours from London, Paris or Frankfurt by plane and 90 minutes from Madrid by high-speed train!

Valencia is the capital city of the Region of Valencia and a first-choice destination for European students, a city located on the shores of the Mediterranean coast of Spain. Our region is made up of three different provinces (Castellón, Valencia and Alicante), all of which have CEU facilities. This means that some of our degrees are taught in Elche and Castellón, although our most popular degrees are based in Valencia.

02-What kind of studies does University CEU Cardenal Herrera offer?

If you take a look at our academic offer, you will get an idea of the broad range of studies our university teaches! Whether you like Sciences or you are a man / woman of letters, we are sure you will find a degree that suits your needs. In fact, we have different schools and faculties that offer a great variety courses, all of which are official and adapted to the current (and rapidly changing!) job market.

University CEU Cardenal Herrera, with its extensive teaching experience, gives you the opportunity to study degrees in English, Spanish or French, all of which are adapted to the specific needs of international students:

All of our international students get an extra language support throughout their studies and can attend free Spanish lessons to guarantee their integration within our community and a successful academic record!

03-What facilities are available for my degree?

Depending on the studies you choose to undertake, you will attend classes in one of our different schools and faculties, all of which are equipped with the latest teaching facilities. We invite you to take a tour of them and explore our classrooms, the library, computer rooms and our other student facilities!

In the near future, our campus in Valencia will inaugurate a new Faculty of Health Sciences and a Clinical Veterinary Referral Hospital, which will add to our already existing modern facilities. Successful candidates will have the honour of being the first students to use our new state-of-the-art infrastructures…just saying!

04-How do I apply?

Applying to University CEU Cardenal Herrera could not be easier! Our Admission Process is already open has been designed to make it simple for you, with clear information on the documentation you need to prepare, deadlines to keep in mind and important events for international candidates.

05-I want to get involved in the university. What clubs and societies can I join?

The possibilities for students who want to do things outside the classroom are endless. If you like being in the spotlight, our have something to say to the world, or maybe you just like reading and are looking for a fellow student to discuss about the last book you have read…you say it, we have it!

06-Is it easy to get around the university on public transport?

Although our main campus is located in the city outskirts of Valencia, access to our facilities is easy and fast thanks to the metro, which links our university with the city centre in just 20 minutes. Moreover, all students at University CEU Cardenal Herrera have access to cheaper transport fares thanks to the signed agreement with the company that manages railway lines in the region.

07-Can students study abroad?

Our institution currently has more than 250 bilateral agreements signed with European universities, as well as other universities in the United States like Boston University, Columbia University, Fordham University and University of Chicago. These agreements will give you the chance to study abroad for a short period of time or to undertake a full international bilingual programme.

Our Mobility Office organizes informative sessions throughout the academic year to keep our students up-to-date with the latest international exchange opportunities offered to them. They also provide an efficient, close-at-hand support to our outgoing students.

08-Do international students live on campus?

Embarking on an international studying adventure is always challenging, and for many of our students means living independently for the first time. For this reason, although our university does not offer on-campus accommodation, we offer advice on the different housing options available through our Hospitality Package. Our housing partners will provide you with different accommodation options, always in a friendly environment and at different prices, depending on your personal preferences and budget: University dorms, shared apartments, etc.

09-What can students do in their free time?

Anything and everything, no matter your personal interest, we are sure you will find something fun and interesting to do in Valencia:

  • If you are into the Arts, you can explore one of the 45 museums in the city of Valencia, including some of the best painting collections in Spain. Check out the opening hours and fees because many public museums and galleries in Spain are free or offer important reductions to students.
  • For those who like to travel and explore new places, the Region of Valencia has some of the most beautiful and picturesque towns in the country: Hire a car or take a train and cross the region from side to side to discover our history and heritage!
  • Renowned for its vibrant nightlife, you will find plenty of great places and areas alive with bars and music!
  • And of course, you will always have the beach at your doorstep!
