This work was created with a clear purpose, as highlighted by the ECHR BLOG of Utrecht University professors Antoine Buyse and Kushtrim Istrefi: “The aim of this book is to assist academics, judges and practitioners who specialise in the Convention and who may need a reliable guide to specific notions they encounter in their work. It is also designed to serve newcomers to the ECtHR, such as students or public authorities, as a companion on their path toward acquiring general or specialised knowledge in this area.”
