These interactive graphs synthesize a database compiled on aspects of the rule of law in the European Union within the framework of this research project. The objective is to quantitatively measure the prominence of key items that ensure respect for the rule of law and, thereby, a commitment to democracy in Spain’s main newspapers. The measurement was conducted using a newspaper archive tool that allows for filtering results, followed by subsequent treatment and categorization. The four thematic areas selected, from an academic perspective and in accordance with the European Commission’s Rule of Law Report, are judicial independence, corruption, human rights and media pluralism.
