Xi Jinping visits Spain

On 27 November, the chair of People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping came to Spain, and out Chinese teacher Shanshan explains her views on the Spain-China relationships and the recent history of our countries.

Spain and China, both as ancient civilizations, have the splendid history and culture and have been communicating for a long time. “On the map of the world, China and Spain may seem far away. Yet, more than 2,000 years ago, the ancient Silk Road linked up the ancient Chinese capital of Chang’an with the Spanish city of Tarraco, today’s Tarragona,” Xi writes.

In 2013, the Chinese government started the project of The Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), also known as the One Belt One Road (OBOR), which is a development strategy involving infrastructure development and investments in countries in EuropeAsia and Africa.

China and Spain have established diplomatic relationships for 45 years. In addition, China expects to synergize the Belt and Road Initiative and Spain’s ‘Strategic Vision for Spain in Asia’ and the ‘Mediterranean Corridor’.

We are very pleased to welcome Xi Jinping in our country. Remember you are still in time to join our Chinese courses. Ni Hao!
