Erasmus: why not?

The University has taken part in the Erasmus+ mobility programme for many years now, and we work closely with universities all over the world to ensure our students can take full advantage of the University’s internationalization. With this programme, you could study for a semester or even a whole year at one of the universities that we’ve partnered with, while paying only your standard CEU UCH student fees.

Those who have taken part in the Erasmus programme talk about the sense of freedom and independence it gave them, the amount of new friends they made, the trips they went on, the things they saw, the new cultures they experienced, the fact of learning a new language, and the maturity the experience brings. Who knows, you might even meet the love of your life, as our colleague at the Languages Services, Greg, did when his now wife, Paola, took part in the Erasmus scheme!

If there is a negative side to taking part in the Erasmus scheme, it’s mostly that it ends and you have to go back to your previous life! Some people have a bit of post-Erasmus blues, but it’s also true that, depending on which country you go to, you may have to spend a fair amount of money even with the Erasmus grant.

If you are interested in having your own Erasmus experience, then you can find out more on the University website and social media accounts, or go to the mobility office on campus.

If you want to go, don’t let anything stop you – you’ll always regret it. It could be one of the best experiences of your whole life.
