Would you love to work in Spain and do you enjoy everything this country offers you?

Can you see job offers which require a knowledge of Spanish in your country and you want to apply?

Do you speak Spanish as well as Marcelo does, but you haven’t got a certificate to prove it?

If you answered “yes” to any of the above questions, then this is your chance! Get a certificate from the Instituto Cervantes which shows the level of Spanish you have. The Languages Service can help you to get it. Sign up for either the DELE and SIELE exams that we are organizing for you this year.

Not sure about the best one for you?

As you can see here, both types of certificate are recognized all over the world and all the different varieties of Spanish are recognized as valid. Nonetheless, there are important differences between them:

  • If you’d like to sit a DELE exam, you’ll need to decide on the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) level that best suits your current ability. However, SIELE is a multilevel exam; it can tell you the level you have for each one of the different language skills (reading, listening, writing and speaking). One could say that you can never fail SIELE!
  • DELE exam is a paper-based exam, while SIELE is undertaken completely on a computer.
  • If you’re a person who prefers to have something for life, DELE is your exam, since its validity never expires! For SIELE, the idea behind it is that you lose skill in a language if you don’t keep practising. Consequently, it’s valid for an initial period of two years.

Here are two introductory videos about DELE and SIELE.

In addition, here are sample exams of both DELE and SIELE.

Choose the exam that is best for you and certify your level of Spanish with us. Still want to know why you should sit a DELE/SIELE exam at CEU UCH?

  • You won’t have to go to any examination centre you don’t know. Both the DELE and SIELE exams are held on the same campus where you’re studying for your degree, in Alfara del Patriarca.
  • If you prefer to sit SIELE, you can get a 10% discount voucher on the registration fee. You just need to come to the Languages Service and ask for one. You’ll be able to use it to register for any of the exams during the 2017-18 academic year.

Finally, no matter whether you choose DELE or SIELE, the Languages Service can offer you the opportunity to prepare for the exam with this course.

Good luck with your DELE/SIELE experience!
