The “Rule of Law Crisis in the EU” Group at the II CEU UCH Research Fair

On Tuesday, 10 June 2025, the research group Rule of Law Crisis in the EU took part in the second edition of the CEU UCH Research Fair, organised by the Vice-Rectorate for Research of CEU Cardenal Herrera University. Doctoral researchers Almudena del Castillo and Zitan Peng represented the group at a stand where they presented the team’s recent work to the public.

Throughout the morning, they engaged in conversation with undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as fellow PhD candidates, who were interested in learning more about research activity and what it means to be part of a research team. Senior academics and members of other research groups also visited the stand to inquire about the group’s ongoing projects and findings.

The stand featured an informative poster detailing the group’s background, along with copies of the three books published as a result of their research, and the main conclusions of the international congress they organised in October 2023. A dynamic database hosted on the group’s blog was also showcased on a vertical screen, allowing visitors to explore interactive visualisations and trends concerning the rule of law in the EU.

The event offered an excellent opportunity to raise the group’s visibility, network with researchers from other disciplines, and gain insight into the diverse and vibrant academic landscape at CEU. For early-career researchers, initiatives like this foster motivation and a sense of shared purpose within the university’s research community.
