¡Vamos a la playa! How to get to the beach in Valencia

Let’s be honest here. One of the main reasons why you decided to come to Valencia was the beach. Now that winter is practically over, it’s time to go to! But how? Don’t worry! We present you with 3 Valencian beaches and how to get there.

La Malva-Rosa: the tramway option

This is the one I am more used to and it is very accessible by tramway. By taking the 4th tramvia line that stops for example at Benimaclet (lines 3, 6 and 9) and Empalme (lines 1 and 2), you’ll enjoy the light offered by a ride outside. When you arrive at Eugenia Viñes, the beach is right in front of you! We usually take the Beachbol as our meeting point. You will indeed be able to enjoy a volleyball game there!

El Cabanyal: the metro option

If you go on with the tramway 6 or 4 and stop at Les Arenes, you will go farther south and arrive at El Cabanyal beach. Accessing this beach by taking the 5th or 7th lines to Maritim-Serreria is possible as well. You’ll have to walk a little though, around 20 minutes.

Port Saplaya: the quiet beach with a nice marina

Being quite far from the centre of Valencia makes it a rather quiet beach for you to spend the day! You will however need either a car or a bus pass. Keep in mind that buses may not be included in your Tuin Jove card! And if you’re tired of the sand (how could you? But let’s pretend), you can still go and visit the small complex with coloured houses or do some shopping!

I hope you’ll have a great time on the Valencian sand! Be sure to check what you can and cannot do on the beach before going!
