Have a gap between seminars? Love watching films? Fancy brushing up your English? The Short Film Club is just what you need.

How about spending some fun time together watching films and practising English at the same time? The Language Service launches The Short Film Club that will take place every Wednesday from 17:00 – 18:30h at The HUB 101. This new space aims to cover many topics including family, dating, clothes, childhood, education and religion as well as promoting values like empathy, respect and hope.

You will be presented with award-winning short films, poignant personal stories, clever advertising or charity campaigns and even fascinating TED talks and viral videos. Take some of the uplifting stories of the campaign #WhoWeAre for instance:

Each one of the 15 sessions will be different but with plenty of opportunities to give your opinion, share an experience and develop your imagination. Additionally, it’s a perfect way to meet people and learn something new. By the way, this club is free and aimed at students and staff alike.
