Guided by Dr. V. Herrnández, on May 14 a group of students from the first year of Dentistry visited the biomedical research center Prince Felipe.
During the visit the students discovered the main research lines of the center, including investigations against neurological impairment, cancer or cell regeneration.
They visited the diagnostic pathology laboratory in which they learned the latest techniques in histological analysis, digitalization of biological samples and cancer research.
Finally the group met with specialists in microscopy and they enjoyed learning about cutting-edge applications in confocal and electron microscopy. During the visit the students could understand and see the potential of biotechnology in the health area.
