5th-year UCH-CEU crowned champions of the ICOEV 7-a-side football tournament held annually to celebrate Saint Apollonia.
The 5th-year Dentistry team from UCH-CEU were crowned champions of the ICOEV Annual 7-a-side Football Tournament, a long-standing competition with more than 20 consecutive editions, traditionally held to celebrate Saint Apollonia, the patron saint of Dentistry.
Each year, the tournament brings together senior dental students and registered dentists to take part in a day focused on sport, camaraderie and community spirit.
This year’s edition was played in a 7-a-side format, with 25-minute matches, organized across two simultaneous pitches with no downtime.
The 5th-year UCH-CEU team played a total of five matches, recording four wins and one loss, a record that ultimately proved sufficient to secure the championship title.
The team was joined by Professor Manuel Enciso, who played as goalkeeper and was a key contributor throughout the tournament.

Participating teams and organization
Teams taking part included Cirubuca, Víctor V, 4th-year UCV English, UCH-CEU, UCV Master’s in Oral Surgery, 5th-year UCV English, and 5th-year UCV Spanish.
The tournament was organized by the Ilustre Colegio Oficial de Odontólogos y Estomatólogos de Valencia (ICOEV), which continues to uphold this sporting tradition linked to the celebration of Saint Apollonia.
The event concluded with a post-tournament fellowship lunch, featuring a traditional paella at Casa Clemencia restaurant, kindly offered by the Ilustre Colegio Oficial de Odontólogos y Estomatólogos de Valencia (ICOEV).
The success of the event was also made possible thanks to the invaluable organizational work of Dr. José Enciso Ripoll, whose commitment once again ensured the smooth running and spirit of this annual Saint Apollonia celebration.
