On October 20th in the Generalitat Valenciana were proclamed the winners of the 32º edition of the Jaume I Prizes:

In Basic Research: Francisco José García Vidal, Full Professor of Universidad Autónoma de Madrid

In Medical Research: Miguel Beato del Rosal, founder of the Centre for Genomic Regulation

In Economics: Diego Puga Pequeño, Universidad Pompeu Fabra

In Protection of Nature: Fernando Tomás Maestre Gil, Universidad de Alicante

In New Technologies: Laura Lechuga Gómez, from the Centro de Investigación en Nanociencia y Nanotecnología in the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas

In entrepreneurship: Verónica Pascual Boé, from ASTI mobile Robotics

This year, the meeting was hold online from the Santo Domingo convent. And the Nobel Laureate connected from their residences. But most of them were assuring that, in spite the pandemic, the level of the candidates keep rising every year.
