Taking her time in Budapest: Jennyfer’s Erasmus+ year

Hi everyone, my name is Jennyfer and I’m a 4th year Veterinary Medicine student and I would like to share my Erasmus+ experience with you. At the moment I am actually studying in the marvellous city of Budapest in Hungary. I made the decision to go to Budapest for the whole year so that I would have the maximum amount of time to enjoy this city.

I wanted to study in another country so that I could meet new people, discover a new culture, improve my level of English, study in another university and travel. In Budapest I have had the opportunity to meet people from all over Europe (Germans, Portuguese, Hungarians, Polish…).

During the past year I have also been able to travel to lots of cities (Vienna, Krakow, Cluj-Napoca, Bratislava…), discover almost every corner of Hungary (castles, parks, mountains, lakes, natural reserves…) and study Veterinary Medicine from a completely different academic perspective to what it is like at CEU UCH.

“IF YOU ARE TIRED OF THE DAILY ROUTINE, DON’T MISS OUT ON THIS OPPORTUNITY: GIVE IT A GO, IT WILL BE WORTH IT!”

I think that an experience like this gives you Eso many professional and personal opportunities. Spending a period of time abroad will always improve your CV, but it also makes you more open-minded in your daily life.

If you are tired of your routine, if you like good food and having fun, if travelling doesn’t scare you, if you want to improve your linguistic skills: a piece of advice, don’t miss out on the Erasmus+ opportunity! Is it the best piece of advice out there: go on Erasmus+ and you will find out for yourself. The first couple of months will be a bit complicated but it’s worth giving it a go! I am sure that it will be the best experience out of the entirety of your degree.
