What starts out as snatched conversations between lectures become fascinating voyages of discovery into far-off lands, different cultures and different perspectives on the world \u2013 and the beginning of international bonds of companionship and friendship. New horizons begin to open up.<\/p>\n<p><strong>39% of students at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine are from abroad.<\/strong> It\u2019s the only veterinary faculty in Spain which offers the degree in three languages \u2013 Spanish, English, and French -. Our aim is to facilitate the integration of all our students into this ever more international campus.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cONE NIGHT, I WAS GOING BACK HOME WHEN MY DAD CALLED ME TO SAY THAT HE\u2019D READ ON THE INTERNET THAT THERE WAS A UNIVERSITY IN SPAIN THAT HAD LECTURES IN FRENCH. These are also the fruit of the University\u2019s commitment to providing a real service to society \u2013 this is part of the CEU identity. This means that the CEU Veterinary Medicine degree meets the strictest quality standards set by the EU\u2019s Education Committee.<\/p>\n<p>With an innovative <strong>curriculum,<\/strong> which focuses on preparing students for <strong>professional practice<\/strong>, courses are grouped together by species, so that all the particular pathologies can be studied together. In this way, students can better understand some of the approaches employed in professional practice and can more easily acquire the competences and skills that they will need from their very first day as a fully qualified veterinarian.<\/p>\n<p>The Faculty\u2019s staff includes European and American diplomates, the highest possible qualification for veterinary specialization, recognized across the world. In the last round of surveys, the lecturers at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine achieved an average rating of 3.24 out of 4.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cTHE LECTURERS ARE ALWAYS WILLING TO LISTEN TO OUR QUESTIONS AND HELP WITH OUR NEEDS. Veterinary student at CEU<\/p>\n<p>An educational experience based on innovation and professional insight<\/p>\n<p>With its own hospital, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uchceu.es\/hospital-clinico-veterinario\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hospital Cl\u00ednico Veterinario<\/a>, and a teaching and research farm, CEU can offer students excellent facilities to hone their practical skills across a range of specializations.<\/p>\n<p>The Hospital Cl\u00ednico Veterinario is a top-quality resource for teaching and the location for a significant part of students\u2019 practical training. Built very recently and 4500 m2 in size, it has a range of consulting rooms and operating theatres for the provision of care to both large and small animals.<\/p>\n<p>The Faculty also has its own <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uchceu.es\/granja-docente-investigacion-veterinaria\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">teaching and research farm<\/a><\/em>, which is 38,784 m2 in size, with six animal units (horses, poultry, rabbits, cows, sheep, and dogs). It is at this farm where students will practice their skills in handling, general care, and reproduction, both with production animals and horses. They will also start learning how to handle and examine small animals.
