Ana Peyr\u00f3 Llopis<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong><em>Principal Legal Officer<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>de la Oficina de Asuntos Legales de Naciones Unidas, quien tambi\u00e9n ejerci\u00f3 como <strong>Representante Especial del Secretario General de la ONU<\/strong> en la persecuci\u00f3n de los cr\u00edmenes cometidos por el Estado Isl\u00e1mico\/DAESH. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Invitada formalmente por la profesora <strong>Jane Marcus-Delgado<\/strong>, la Dra. Susana Sanz junto con la Dra. Ana Peyr\u00f3<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-top:54px\">Asimismo, como cierre de su actividad docente del semestre, la<strong> profesora Sanz Caballero<\/strong> imparti\u00f3 la conferencia <em><strong>\u201cExploring the U.S. and Spanish Legal Frameworks for Human Rights Protection\u201d <\/strong><\/em>en el Stevens College of Technology, una universidad privada especializada en STEM, ubicada en New Jersey. En el marco de la misma, la profesora compar\u00f3 la manera de proceder de <strong>EEUU y Espa\u00f1a<\/strong> a nivel jur\u00eddico, as\u00ed como su distinto enfoque en materia de derechos sociales y de provisi\u00f3n de servicios p\u00fablicos. Jane Marcus-Delgado en su visita al Museo de Migraci\u00f3n.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Entre las actividades m\u00e1s destacadas de la profesora Sanz en el mes de mayo, figura su participaci\u00f3n en el workshop <strong>\u201cThe European Challenge\u201d<\/strong>, organizado por la <strong>Universidad CEU Fernando III y el Las Casas Institute for Social Justice de la Universidad de Oxford<\/strong>. En este encuentro, dirigido por el profesor <strong>Carlos Espali\u00fa<\/strong>, la profesora Sanz present\u00f3 su\u00a0<em>work in progress<\/em>\u00a0titulado<strong><em> \u201cThe Fragility of Human Rights in Times of Rule of Law Erosion: Europe and America\u201d<\/em><\/strong>. En su ponencia, subray\u00f3 la relaci\u00f3n indisoluble entre el Estado de Derecho y los derechos humanos, argumentando que no puede existir uno sin el otro.
