The book we present is the result of a collective effort of reflection on various aspects of this (no less unprecedented for being already known) anti-democratic drift observed in Europe. The aim is to bring to the scientific and social debate elements and signs through which this crisis of the rule of law manifests itself in order to better fight against it. To this end, each chapter deals with a specific situation, aspect or country that represents a case of non-compliance or, at the very least, a risk of non-compliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The chapters have been divided into two sections. The first deals with different elements or signs of the crisis of values at a general level in the EU, without specific reference to any specific state. The second section, on the other hand, focuses on specific case studies such as those of Spain, Hungary, Poland and Croatia carried out by specialists in each of these countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The final objective is none other than to denounce the unprecedented situation that is being experienced in Europe using the main weapons that a researcher has, which are none other than the study and rigorous analysis of some of the clearest manifestations of this crisis, such as attacks on judicial independence, the violation of the right of assembly, widespread corruption and the steps backward in achieving equality between men and women and respect for minorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
