Act\u00faa inhibiendo la s\u00edntesis de prote\u00ednas bacterianas al unirse a la subunidad 50S del ribosoma y previniendo la translocaci\u00f3n de p\u00e9ptidos. Las concentraciones cr\u00edticas separan las cepas sensibles de las cepas intermedias y estas \u00faltimas de las cepas resistentes: S (sensible)&lt;= 1 mg\/l y R (resistente) &gt; 4 mg\/l.<\/p>\n<p>En 1949, <strong>Abelardo Aguilar<\/strong> <em>(Imagen 1)<\/em>, un cient\u00edfico filipino, envi\u00f3 varias muestras de suelo a su Eli Lilly. El equipo de investigaci\u00f3n de la empresa, dirigido por J. M. McGuire, aisl\u00f3 con \u00e9xito la eritromicina y se comercializ\u00f3 ya en 1952 bajo la marca Ilosone.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">\u00ab\u00bfQui\u00e9n describe e identifica el S<em>treptococcus pyogenes<\/em>?\u00bb<\/h3>\n<p>La primera descripci\u00f3n reconocida del estreptococo fue realizada por\u00a0 <strong>Theodor Billroth<\/strong> <em>(Imagen 1) <\/em>en 1874. Describi\u00f3 \u00abpeque\u00f1os organismos aislados u organizados en parejas, a veces en cadenas de 4 a 20 o m\u00e1s\u00bb. Sin embargo, la primera caracterizaci\u00f3n de estos estreptococos Gram positivos\u00a0fue dada por <strong>Louis Pasteur<\/strong> <em>(Imagen 1) <\/em>en 1879. Este bacteriol\u00f3go franc\u00e9s a\u00edslo esta bacteria del \u00fatero y muestras de sangre en mujeres que sufr\u00edan fiebre puerperal (relacionada con el parto).<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_5952\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5952\" style=\"width: 489px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-5952 \" src=\"https:\/\/blog.uchceu.es\/odontologia\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2020\/05\/Imagen1-1-315x129.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"489\" height=\"200\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-5952\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Imagen 1. Abelardo Aguilar, Theodor Billroth, Louis Pasteur.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>En 1993, <strong>Rebecca Craighill Lancefield<\/strong> estudi\u00f3 la estructura antig\u00e9nica de los estreptococos y los consigui\u00f3 clasificar seg\u00fan estos ant\u00edgenos situados por encima del peptidoglucano, creando la conocida<span style=\"background-color: #ffcc99\"><strong> Clasificaci\u00f3n de Lancefield.<\/strong><\/span><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>En esta clasificaci\u00f3n, el <em>Streptococcus pyogenes<\/em> se sit\u00faa en el grupo A.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\"><em>\u00abStreptococcus pyogenes<\/em><em>-estreptococo del grupo A\u00bb<\/em><\/h3>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: right\">Patogenia:<\/h2>\n<p>La patogenicidad del estreptococo \u00df-hemol\u00edtico del grupo A es particularmente amplia, y abarca desde infecciones benignas, como la angina, <strong><em>faringitis<\/em><\/strong> o el imp\u00e9tigo, hasta afecciones posestreptoc\u00f3cicas potencialmente debilitantes. Adem\u00e1s, infecciones invasivas graves, como la fascitis necrotizante o el temido s\u00edndrome de shock t\u00f3xico estreptoc\u00f3cico.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-5941 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.uchceu.es\/odontologia\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2020\/05\/Imagen1-315x115.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"559\" height=\"204\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: right\">Tratamiento:<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Los antibi\u00f3ticos \u00df-lact\u00e1micos, son actualmente el tratamiento est\u00e1ndar para las infecciones estreptoc\u00f3cicas.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-5955 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.uchceu.es\/odontologia\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2020\/05\/Imagen5-315x205.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"315\" height=\"205\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.uchceu.es\/odontologia\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2020\/05\/Imagen5-315x205.png 315w, https:\/\/blog.uchceu.es\/odontologia\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2020\/05\/Imagen5.png 325w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 315px) 100vw, 315px\" \/> Desde hace varios a\u00f1os, la resistencia a determinadas familias de antibi\u00f3ticos est\u00e1 aumentando, en particular los macr\u00f3lidos, lincosamidas, estreptograminas (muy prescritas en pediatr\u00eda, o en adultos o en alergias a \u00df-lact\u00e1micos ).
