El inter\u00e9s de los conusmidores por los productos alimentarios que benefician la salud aumenta cada d\u00eda m\u00e1s. \u00bfLos probi\u00f3ticos pueden prevenir la caries? \u00bfLas bacterias probi\u00f3ticas pueden influenciar la actividad de las bacterias que producen la caries?<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.uchceu.es\/odontologia\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2014\/11\/blog-probioticos-caries1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-2042 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.uchceu.es\/odontologia\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2014\/11\/blog-probioticos-caries1-650x462.jpg\" alt=\"blog-probioticos-caries\" width=\"650\" height=\"462\" \/><\/a>El uso del <em>Bifidobacterium spp. <\/em>y <em>Lactobacillus spp<\/em>. como<strong> probi\u00f3ticos<\/strong>, t\u00e9rmino definido por la O<a title=\"p\u00e1gina web FAO\" href=\"http:\/\/www.fao.org\/home\/es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rganizaci\u00f3n de las Naciones Unidas para la Alimentaci\u00f3n y la Agricultura\u00a0(FAO)<\/a> y la<a title=\"P\u00e1gina web OMS\" href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Organizaci\u00f3n Mundial de la Salud (OMS)<\/a> como <strong>\u201c microorganismos vivos que cuando se administran en cantidades suficientes pueden ser beneficiosas para la salud del hu\u00e9sped\u201d<\/strong>, ha demostrado ser un promotor de salud, aunque el \u00e9xito de los probi\u00f3ticos espec\u00edficos depende en la cepa bacteriana utilizada, n\u00famero de especias y la concentraci\u00f3n bacteriana de la enfermedad especifica.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>El uso potencial de los probi\u00f3ticos est\u00e1 aumentando continuamente en base a nuevas evidencias cient\u00edficas<\/strong> que apoyan su efecto sobre la <strong>prevenci\u00f3n y el tratamiento<\/strong> de distintas enfermedades como <strong>infecciones urogenitales, fibrosis qu\u00edstica y varios tipos de c\u00e1ncer.<\/strong>\u00a0 <strong>Muchos estudios en estos \u00faltimos a\u00f1os est\u00e1n demostrando que <em>Lactobacillus reuteri, Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Bifidobacterium BB12, Lactobacillus salivarius <\/em>son capaces de prevenir la caries y algunos tambi\u00e9n indican que se pueden utilizar para tratar esta enfermedad de los tejidos duros del diente.<\/strong><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_2041\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2041\" style=\"width: 619px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.uchceu.es\/odontologia\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2014\/11\/blog-probioticos-caries-lactobacillos.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2041\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.uchceu.es\/odontologia\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2014\/11\/blog-probioticos-caries-lactobacillos.jpg\" alt=\"Imagen de Lactobacillus \" width=\"619\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.uchceu.es\/odontologia\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2014\/11\/blog-probioticos-caries-lactobacillos.jpg 619w, https:\/\/blog.uchceu.es\/odontologia\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2014\/11\/blog-probioticos-caries-lactobacillos-310x300.jpg 310w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 619px) 100vw, 619px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-2041\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Lactobacillus rhamnosus-LSU lab (Dr. Karen Sullivan) &#8211; Wikipedia<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Todos los estudios indican que los <strong>microorganismos probi\u00f3ticos reducen el n\u00famero de los <em>Estreptococos mutans <\/em>e inhiben la adhesi\u00f3n de la placa bacteriana a la superficie del diente<\/strong>\u00a0resultando as\u00ed en una reducci\u00f3n de la actividad cariosa de las bacterias cariog\u00e9nicas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Lee y Kim (2014) indicaron que las especies de<strong> <em>lactobacillus<\/em> fueron capaces de inhibir el crecimiento de los estreptococos orales<\/strong>, y la formaci\u00f3n de la pel\u00edcula bacteriana (biofilm) en la superficie del diente. El <em>Lactobacillus rhamnosus<\/em> inhibe la actividad bacteriana del <em>Estreptococos mutans<\/em> reduciendo la producci\u00f3n de los glucanos.
