Guided by Dr. V. Herrn\u00e1ndez, on May 14 a group of students from the first year of Dentistry visited the biomedical research center Prince Felipe.<\/p>\n

During the visit the students discovered the main research lines of the center, including investigations against neurological impairment, cancer or cell regeneration.<\/p>\n

They visited the diagnostic pathology laboratory in which they learned the latest techniques in histological analysis, digitalization of biological samples and cancer research.<\/p>\n

Finally the group met with specialists in microscopy and they enjoyed learning about cutting-edge applications in confocal and electron microscopy. During the visit the students could understand and see the potential of biotechnology in the health area.<\/p>\n
