Hay dos elementos clave que componen un teratocarcinoma: un carcinoma embrionario y un teratoma. Esta forma de c\u00e1ncer tiene correlaciones intr\u00ednsecas con el desarrollo embrionario, particularmente la 3\u00aa a 4\u00aa semana de gestaci\u00f3n, que es cuando ocurre la gastrulaci\u00f3n (3\u00aa semana) as\u00ed como la neurulaci\u00f3n primaria (en la 3\u00aa y 4\u00aa semana).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El teratocarcinoma es un tumor maligno de las c\u00e9lulas reproductivas, tambi\u00e9n conocidas com\u00fanmente como c\u00e9lulas germinales, y contiene derivados de las 3 capas germinales (endodermo, mesodermo y ectodermo) formadas como resultado de la gastrulaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image is-style-default\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"366\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.uchceu.es\/medicina\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2022\/07\/maxresdefault-650x366.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3731\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.uchceu.es\/medicina\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2022\/07\/maxresdefault-650x366.jpg 650w, https:\/\/blog.uchceu.es\/medicina\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2022\/07\/maxresdefault-315x177.jpg 315w, https:\/\/blog.uchceu.es\/medicina\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2022\/07\/maxresdefault-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blog.uchceu.es\/medicina\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2022\/07\/maxresdefault-696x392.jpg 696w, https:\/\/blog.uchceu.es\/medicina\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2022\/07\/maxresdefault-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https:\/\/blog.uchceu.es\/medicina\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2022\/07\/maxresdefault-747x420.jpg 747w, https:\/\/blog.uchceu.es\/medicina\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2022\/07\/maxresdefault.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/><figcaption>Gastrulaci\u00f3n (endodermo, mesodermo y ectodermo) y principio de la neurulaci\u00f3n.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Los carcinomas embrionarios son de estirpe maligna indiferenciada y adem\u00e1s provienen de<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cirm.ca.gov\/our-progress\/definiciones-de-c\u00e9lulas-madre\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> c\u00e9lulas madre pluripotenciales<\/a>, mientras que los teratomas son tumores que pueden ser benignos o malignos y que surgen de las c\u00e9lulas germinales primordiales, pudiendo contener una gran variedad de tejidos (es decir, hueso, cabello y m\u00fasculo).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los teratomas se consideran tumores raros y son mas frecuentes en mujeres que en hombres, pudiendo aparecer en personas de cualquier edad, desde reci\u00e9n nacidos hasta adultos, sin embargo, tienden a diagnosticarse tarde, aunque la mayor\u00eda suelen ser de origen cong\u00e9nito. La principal importancia de su origen embriol\u00f3gico es que debido a que se forman a un fallo en la migraci\u00f3n de las tres capas (endodermo, mesodermo y ectodermo).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-drop-cap\">El <a href=\"https:\/\/www.medigraphic.com\/cgi-bin\/new\/resumen.cgi?IDARTICULO=56808\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">teratocarcinoma<\/a>, un tumor maligno de c\u00e9lulas germinales que consta de un teratoma y un carcinoma embrionario, tiene correlaciones intr\u00ednsecas con el desarrollo embriol\u00f3gico anormal. Los carcinomas embrionarios son c\u00e9lulas madre malignas indiferenciadas que provienen de c\u00e9lulas madre pluripotentes, se diferencian hacia la formaci\u00f3n de estructuras embrionarias y metastatizan r\u00e1pidamente en comparaci\u00f3n con otros tumores. Los teratomas son tumores embrionarios formados por las tres capas germinales. A pesar de que los carcinomas y los teratomas embrionarios tienen caracter\u00edsticas distintas, juntos forman <a href=\"https:\/\/www.elmundo.es\/elmundosalud\/2008\/04\/10\/oncodudasypreguntas\/1207844728.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">teratocarcinoma<\/a>, un tumor canceroso considerablemente agresivo que consiste en derivados del endodermo, mesodermo y ectodermo. Esto \u00faltimo hace que sea de vital importancia el estudio del origen embriol\u00f3gico de estos tumores, ya que comprender el origen de los tejidos y las estructuras es fundamental para establecer
