{"id":3696,"date":"2022-07-31T02:25:24","date_gmt":"2022-07-31T00:25:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.uchceu.es\/medicina\/?p=3696"},"modified":"2022-07-31T02:25:29","modified_gmt":"2022-07-31T00:25:29","slug":"la-proteina-embrionaria-ror1-un-nuevo-instrumento-para-la-lucha-contra-el-cancer%ef%bf%bc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.uchceu.es\/medicina\/la-proteina-embrionaria-ror1-un-nuevo-instrumento-para-la-lucha-contra-el-cancer%ef%bf%bc\/","title":{"rendered":"La prote\u00edna embrionaria ROR1, un nuevo instrumento para la lucha contra el c\u00e1ncer\ufffc"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Siguiendo con las actividades de la celebraci\u00f3n del d\u00eda Mundial de C\u00e1ncer durante este curso, en el grado de Medicine (l\u00ednea biling\u00fce de la Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud del Centro de Alfara del Patriarca), dentro de la serie conocida como: \u201cC\u00e1ncer: origen, evoluci\u00f3n y su correspondencia embrionaria\u201d, destacamos el trabajo de la alumna&nbsp;<strong>Raquel Kessous Moscard\u00f3 <\/strong>(1er curso).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized is-style-rounded\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.uchceu.es\/medicina\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2022\/07\/Captura-de-pantalla-2022-07-31-a-las-1.18.17.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3697\" width=\"134\" height=\"145\" \/><figcaption>&nbsp;Raquel Kessous Moscard\u00f3, CEU Cardenal Herrera<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>En 2012, se descubri\u00f3 que la prote\u00edna llamada <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.beckman.es\/reagents\/coulter-flow-cytometry\/antibodies-and-kits\/single-color-antibodies\/ror1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ROR1<\/a> (receptor transmembrana de tirosina-prote\u00edna quinasa ROR1)<\/strong>, tambi\u00e9n conocida como tirosina quinasa neurotr\u00f3fica, relacionada con el receptor 1, utilizada en el desarrollo temprano del embri\u00f3n durante la embriog\u00e9nesis, que fue descubierta y utilizada para marcar diferentes tipos de c\u00e9lulas cancer\u00edgenas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Por lo general, las prote\u00ednas <em>ROR1<\/em> no deber\u00edan encontrarse en los adultos, pero cuando se detectan en humanos adultos suelen aparecer en los tumores s\u00f3lidos que provienen de c\u00e9lulas epiteliales transformadas en c\u00e9lulas epiteliales cancer\u00edgenas. Y este proceso en el que las c\u00e9lulas tumorales epiteliales pueden transformarse en c\u00e9lulas migratorias mesenquimales, se denomina <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oatext.com\/epithelial-mesenchymal-transition-in-cancer-an-overview.php\"><strong><em>EMT<\/em><\/strong> (<em>Epithelial-mesenchymal transition<\/em>, transici\u00f3n epitelial mesenquimal)<\/a>, es muy similar al desarrollo embrionario, donde las c\u00e9lulas se transforman para crear estructuras epiteliales y mesenquimales, que en los casos en que se produce la expresi\u00f3n de <em>ROR1<\/em>, se asociar\u00e1 a la transici\u00f3n epitelial-mesenquimatosa (EMT), que ocurre durante la embriog\u00e9nesis y por consiguiente en los procesos de met\u00e1stasis del c\u00e1ncer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image is-style-default\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"550\" height=\"363\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.uchceu.es\/medicina\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2022\/07\/ijms-20-02767-ag-550.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3702\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.uchceu.es\/medicina\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2022\/07\/ijms-20-02767-ag-550.jpg 550w, https:\/\/blog.uchceu.es\/medicina\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2022\/07\/ijms-20-02767-ag-550-315x208.jpg 315w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><figcaption><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mdpi.com\/1422-0067\/20\/11\/2767\">TGF-\u03b2-Mediated Epithelial-Mesenchymal Transition and Cancer Metastasis<\/a> (Transici\u00f3n epitelial-mesenquimatosa mediada por TGF-\u03b2 y met\u00e1stasis del c\u00e1ncer). <\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>La prote\u00edna <em>ROR1<\/em> se ha encontrado en diferentes tipos de c\u00e1ncer como: c\u00e1ncer de ovario, c\u00e1ncer de mama, c\u00e1ncer de pr\u00f3stata, c\u00e1ncer de pulm\u00f3n&#8230; etc; existiendo una correlaci\u00f3n de que a mayores niveles de <em>ROR1<\/em> en las c\u00e9lulas cancerosas, mayores son las posibilidades de reca\u00edda o met\u00e1stasis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En la actualidad la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC3832210\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">prote\u00edna <em>ROR1<\/em><\/a> est\u00e1 siendo estudiada minuciosamente y los \u00faltimos descubrimientos sobre la misma hacen pensar, que en un futuro pr\u00f3ximo, ser\u00e1 de gran ayuda para establecer l\u00edneas de tratamiento como terapia diana contra algunos tipos de c\u00e1ncer, pues es necesaria la expresi\u00f3n de la prote\u00edna <em>ROR1<\/em> para mantener la <em>transici\u00f3n epitelial-mesenquimatosa (EMT)<\/em>. Y dado que los tejidos posembrionarios normales, por lo general no expresan este ant\u00edgeno oncoembrionario, la orientaci\u00f3n terap\u00e9utica de <em>ROR1<\/em> puede ofrecer un enfoque
