Esto ocurre porque las c\u00e9lulas cancerosas a partir de un proceso conocido como transici\u00f3n epitelial-mesenquimatosa (TEM) pueden migrar a otros tejidos y \u00f3rganos produciendo met\u00e1stasis. En este proceso los llamados&nbsp;<em><a href=\"https:\/\/journals.biologists.com\/dev\/article\/132\/14\/3151\/18509\/The-Snail-genes-as-inducers-of-cell-movement-and\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">genes Snail<\/a><\/em> juegan un papel fundamental.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los <a href=\"http:\/\/genesdev.cshlp.org\/content\/18\/10\/1131\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>genes Snail<\/em><\/a> son un grupo de genes esenciales en la transcripci\u00f3n y el desarrollo embrionario, incluyendo la formaci\u00f3n del mesodermo y la cresta neural. Esta familia de genes hace que las c\u00e9lulas embrionarias se sit\u00faen en los lugares correspondientes para formar los diferentes tejidos y \u00f3rganos del embri\u00f3n. A pesar de ser un proceso positivo y natural en el embri\u00f3n, en el adulto los <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/nrm757\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">genes Snail<\/a><\/em> deben permanecer inactivos, ya que su activaci\u00f3n podr\u00eda provocar patolog\u00edas, como el c\u00e1ncer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los investigadores creen que hay una conexi\u00f3n entre el desarrollo embrionario y las met\u00e1stasis, a partir de la activaci\u00f3n de los<em><a href=\"http:\/\/genesdev.cshlp.org\/content\/28\/2\/167.full\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> genes Snail<\/a><\/em>. ocurre durante el proceso de desarrollo embrionario, se podr\u00e1 combatir las met\u00e1stasis de una manera
