Schultz, \u00a0es el padre del concepto IMC, <strong>Integrated Marketing Communications<\/strong> o seg\u00fan sus siglas en espa\u00f1ol CIM, Comunicaciones Integradas de Marketing<\/p>\n<p>Actualmente es profesor em\u00e9rito en servicio de Integrated Marketing Communications, en la Escuela Medill de la Northwestern University, Evanston, IL, y el presidente de Agora, Inc. , marketing, comunicaci\u00f3n y branding consultor\u00eda. Estudi\u00f3\u00a0BBA (Universidad de Oklahoma), MA y PhD (Universidad del Estado de Michigan)<\/p>\n<p>Es autor o co-autor de m\u00e1s de veintiocho libros, otros 4 que est\u00e1 preparando y m\u00e1s de ciento cincuenta art\u00edculos acad\u00e9micos y profesionales. \u00a0Fue el editor fundador de la revista Journal of Direct Marketing , el editor asociado del Journal of Marketing Communications, y la Revista Internacional Integrated Marketing Communications. Schultz tambi\u00e9n es miembro de la junta de revisi\u00f3n editorial de diversas\u00a0publicaciones acad\u00e9micas.<\/p>\n<p>Despu\u00e9s de su graduaci\u00f3n de la Universidad de Oklahoma con una licenciatura en Marketing \/ Periodismo, <strong>Schultz<\/strong> comenz\u00f3 su carrera en ventas y gesti\u00f3n en Texas. Se uni\u00f3 a Tracy-Locke Publicidad y Relaciones P\u00fablicas en Dallas en 1965, y trabaj\u00f3 en sus\u00a0oficinas en Dallas, Nueva York, y Columbus, Ohio como vicepresidente senior.<\/p>\n<p>En 1974, Schultz renunci\u00f3 a Tracy-Locke para iniciar una carrera en el mundo acad\u00e9mico. Obtuvo un m\u00e1ster en publicidad y un doctorado en medios de comunicaci\u00f3n de la Universidad Estatal de Michigan. Se uni\u00f3 a Northwestern en 1977 donde ha ocupado diferentes cargos entre los que destaca\u00a0Presidente del Departamento y Decano Asociado.<\/p>\n<p>La lista de cargos que ha desempe\u00f1ado es tremenda y junto a su cargo de profesor em\u00e9rito en NU es\u00a0profesor adjunto en la Universidad de Tecnolog\u00eda de Queensland, en Australia, \u00a0profesor visitante en la Cranfield School of Management en el Reino Unido, la Universidad de Tsinghua y la Universidad de Pek\u00edn, China, la Escuela de Negocios de HSBC, la Universidad de Pek\u00edn \/ Shenzhen , china, la Universidad Cattolica, Sacre Coure, Mil\u00e1n, Italia y Hanken, la Escuela Sueca de Econom\u00eda, Helsinki, Finlandia.<\/p>\n<p>Dispone de multitud de premios y distinciones entre las que destaca:\u00a0Distinguished Achievement Award de la Facultad, en 2010, Emerson Award Direct Marketing News &#8216;en 2012, el MMA (Asociaci\u00f3n de Gesti\u00f3n de Marketing) Premio de Marketing Innovador en 2013 y la AAA (American Academy of Advertising) Ivan Preston Sobresaliente contribuciones al Premio de Investigaci\u00f3n en 2014.<\/p>\n<p>Vive\u00a0en Chicago con su esposa Heidi quien tambi\u00e9n es su socio en <a href=\"http:\/\/www.agora-imc.com\/home.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Agora IMC.\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0y el pasado lunes 20 de octubre tuvo la amabilidad de recibir a este profesor espa\u00f1ol.
