University CEU Cardenal Herrera signs a collaboration agreement with the Consular Body of the Valencian Autonomous Community in order to facilitate the hosting of foreign students

The collaboration will also allow the University to expand their network of companies with whom CEU-UCH students can undertake international work placements.

On 12th November University CEU Cardenal Herrera celebrated an International Relations Day which began with the signing of the collaboration agreement with the Consular Body of the Valencian Autonomous Community. Many entities attended the signing of this agreement including the Consuls of Italy, Belgium, United Kingdom, Bulgaria, Norway, Macedonia, Turkey, Chile, Guatemala, Bolivia, Costa Rica, Uruguay, Philippines and the Seychelles, as well as the representatives of the Franco-Spanish Chamber of Commerce and the Leopardi Centre.

The agreement, which was signed by the Vice-Chancellor of CEU-UCH, Rosa Visiedo, the Vice-Dean of the Consular Body, and the Consul of Chile, Leopoldo López, involves the respective consuls liaising with international businesses in order to obtain international work placement opportunities for CEU-UCH students. Furthermore, it will allow CEU-UCH students of Political Science to undertake work placements in the Valencian consulates.

Internationalization and hosting of foreign students

As stated by the Vice-Chancellor of CEU-UCH, “The signing of this agreement will strengthen our commitment to internationalization, one of the cornerstones of Universidad CEU Cardenal Herrera’s strategic development policy”. “We would like to offer our students”, added Rosa Visiedo, “a quality education that allows students to overcome future challenges in the world, and because of this agreement we will work together in order to improve the hosting of international students in our respective countries and conduct activities in the field of sustainability among others”.

The International Relations day also included a conference regarding new international stages which was conducted by the Spanish ambassador, Javier Rupérez.
