Tradition, culture and gastronomy, a journey in the Sausage Fair of Requena for the CEU-UCH University students

During the journey they discovered the most touristic places of the city and had the opportunity to taste typical products of the region.

This weekend, a group of international students of the CEU-UCH University, accompanied by the vice-rector of Students and University expansion, María José González, has visited the city of Requena and at the same time its yearly Sausage Fair. Thanks to a guided tour that brought them to the old town and its caves, students have had the opportunity to discover the wine creation process in the Museum of the Palacio Del Cid.

During this fair, students of the CEU-UCH University have been offered to taste typical products of the region that contribute to its international renown, such as sausages, wines, the ajoarriero, the morteruelo, the Bollo de los panaderos (Typical Rolled bread) and the water of San Benedetto. This gastronomical food tasting ended with a typical folk dances exhibition.

The Sports Service organized this intercultural activity aimed to know more about the Valencian culture and gastronomy and to share a day free with other mates of the University.
