Although the academic year has already finished, our university continues working for you and we are therefore happy to announce a piece of news that will impact (in the most positive way!) our Mobility Office.
Erasmus+ is one of the most popular university exchange programs in Europe, a scheme supported by the European Union that has already given the opportunity to more than 3 million students across our continent to study or do an internship abroad. That is why it is our pleasure to announce that, as from the next academic year, University CEU Cardenal Herrera will be adding a new and exciting country to its already extensive network of mobility destinations: RUSSIA, the country of Matryoshkas, the Red Square and the Hermitage Museum (among other endless attractions).
The SEPIE (Servicio Español para la Internacionalización de la Educación) has approved our university’s application for the KA107 project, which will represent 32 new mobility opportunities in Russia for CEU students and staff members.
The Key Action KA107 is an exchange program that makes it possible for students, researchers and staff members of member universities to take a placement in different countries associated to the Erasmus+ scheme. University CEU Cardenal Herrera will receive a budget of +100 000 euros that will be allocated for 32 new mobility places in the following Russian universities, although the number of partner institutions in the Russian Federation is expected to grow in the future:
- Saratov State Academy of Law
- Yugra State University
- Voronezh State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering
- North Caucasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy
Moreover, our new projects will now have an extended duration of 24 months and we are currently working on new applications that will add other non-European destinations to our offer, which means that CEU students will have a wider choice of countries to choose from. The list of current available countries amounts to 33, including the 28 EU countries, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Turkey, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and – from September 2016 – Russia.
And not only are we extending our destinations, but our university will also be increasing the number of places available for the whole of its Erasmus+ mobility opportunities:
- From 51 to 81 places for international internships
- From 67 to 74 places for study exchange opportunities
- From 11 to 12 places for staff members interested in a placement abroad
With these great numbers, what are you waiting for? Start exploring the different options at your hand and keep an eye on our website and Social Media: we will keep you posted on application dates and other relevant information very shortly.
Remember that our Mobility Office is located on the ground floor at Luis Campos Górriz building (campus Alfara del Patriarca), so don’t hesitate to come by and ask us about our exchange opportunities!
