Every year around February, our university hosts its International Open Days, a great opportunity for candidates from around the world to visit our facilities, meet our staff and get first-hand information on the life on campus and our academic offer. On February 18 and 19, our administrative and academic staff will be available to give advice about our courses, services and the opportunities within the reach of international students at University CEU Cardenal Herrera…will you be coming? 😉
1 – GETTING READY FOR OUR OPEN DAYS
Q. Do I need to book to attend the Open Days?
A. Yes, we ask our candidates to book in advance in case they want to attend our Open Days and to point out their language of preference: English, French or Spanish. This way we can ensure that there will be a place for them!
Q. How do I book?
A. Our International Open Days will take place on February 18-19 and booking can be made following this link. Make sure to book in advance because the deadline is February 12!
Q. How do I get to the University?
A. We will be hosting our International Open Days at our campus in Alfara del Patriarca (Valencia), which is accessible by metro. Follow this link to get further information on how to reach our university or visit metrovalencia for information on tariffs and times.
If you come by car, you can see here a map showing the exact location of our campus in Alfara del Patriarca. Parking around the campus is limited and we cannot guarantee parking spaces for visitors.
Q. Can I get free WiFi access?
A. Free WiFi will be offered to our visitors during the Open Days. You will be given the instructions upon arrival, and the information (network, username and password) will also be available on the information boards placed around the campus.
Q. How can I prepare my trip?
A. Valencia is linked with the major European hubs by plane and train. Airlines like Ryanair, Iberia, Lufthansa, EasyJet or Air France have direct flights from Valencia to Rome, London, Paris or Frankfurt, among other cities. If you arrive by train, you can reach Valencia from Madrid in just 90 minutes using the high-speed train (AVE).
As for accommodation, we do not provide housing for visitors. Nevertheless, Valencia is full of options that will suit every budget; whether you are looking for a hotel, an apartment or a hostel, we are sure you will find the perfect place to stay in! Visit the official site of Turisvalencia and explore the establishments in the city that offer online booking. Take into account when booking your hotel that metro line 1 (yellow line) is the one that will take you directly to the university!
Q. Can I bring my family?
International candidates are more than welcome to bring friends and family to our Open Days. You will be able to book up to three additional visitors via the online registration questionnaire!
2 – DURING THE OPEN DAYS
Q. Where can I get the programme?
A. An updated version of the programme is available on our website. Upon your arrival, you will be given a paper copy of the programme with detailed information on the sessions, hours and places. These paper versions will also be placed on the informative boards around the campus and will be available in English, French and Spanish.
Q. Where can I get a brochure about the university’s academic offer?
Q. Where can I get something to eat?
A. You will find several vending machines around our campus, as well as two cafeterias: one in Seminari building and another one in Luis Campos Górriz building. Both cafeterias are located on the ground floor and are easily accessible.
Outside our campus you will find several places to grab a bite or have a nice coffee. Take a look at a couple of nearby alternatives here and take into account that Spaniards normally take lunch between 2 and 4pm!
Q. Can I go on a campus tour during the Open Days?
A. Yes, we have scheduled a walking tour of your faculty and other facilities (library, main services) on February 18. You will be divided into different groups and guided to your corresponding faculty. The meeting point for each group will be clearly identified outside the main building (Luis Campos Górriz building).
Q. How can I get in touch with current CEU students?
A. Some of our current students will participate in our Open Days. Have a chat with them and ask them all the questions that you may have…they will be more than happy to share their student experience with you!
Q. Who should I speak to if I need help?
A. Please look for a member of our staff in case you need assistance during the Open Days. During the sessions, make sure to ask all of your questions and share your thoughts with the rest of the candidates!
Please take into account that our International Relations Office will be closed during the Open Days. If you have questions about the admission process, you can get in touch with our team at firstname.lastname@example.org (English speakers), email@example.com (French speakers) or firstname.lastname@example.org (Spanish speakers).
Your opinion is very important to us. Help us improve our service by filling in the satisfaction survey that will be distributed to you at the end of the Open Days!
