Hello Kenza, tell us more about your personal profile: Where do you come from, what are your hobbies?

I am from Marrakech, Morocco. I studied at the American School of Marrakesh until Junior year and continued in London where I graduated from CATs College London.

My hobbies are painting, singing, playing the piano, and writing.

Why did you choose Pharmacy? Do you have any relatives working in the area? Is it just something that you always wanted to do?

My religion has taught me that by helping others, you have succeeded in life. I never imagined myself being a pharmacist. All I know is that I wanted to study a degree which will allow me to help others, especially those in need.

I, unfortunately, do not have any family relatives working as pharmacist… they are all pretty much into business!

What is your favourite subject?

My favourite subject is Science. I love Biology, Chemistry, Anatomy and Physiology. The reason why I love these subjects is because it helps you better understand life. It explains from the very smallest particles that we are made of, to the entire anatomy of our body; the structure and how it functions.

I am also the kind of person who believes that these subjects are very essential and one must learn them at some point of their lives. Because having this knowledge not only helps us build confidence but also helps us find solutions to problems in our daily life.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Five years ago, I would have never thought of being where I am today. So, All I can say is, wherever I end up in five years from now will surely be unexpected.

“Do the impossible and expect the unexpected…”

You have also worked with us during this first year…any thoughts about the tasks or the team you have worked with?

I have enjoyed working with the University very much. Especially with Juan Roca, Nuria from Campus Life, Ivan and Beni from the International Relations Office. They have all been so wonderful and very helpful as well as great mentors.

I work at the International Relations Service. My tasks include writing posts for the University’s blogs, communicating with international applicants, making videos and interviewing others. I was taught so many things this year and I am very thankful for having this opportunity.

You have helped us a lot communicating with our international candidates…do you find it interesting to share your experience with them?

Yes, I not only find it interesting but very important as well. I am very happy to communicate with future CEU students, because I find it very important for them to know a student’s experience.

When I was applying to this university, I would have loved having a student answering some of my questions and telling me their experiences here in Valencia. It gives a person a better idea and a better expectation of the journey they are about to embark on.

Tell us your favourite thing about Valencia!

I Obviously love so many things about Valencia… The weather, the food, the people, the malls. My favourite thing would have to be the malls. In particular… Nuevo Centro, Bonaire and Heron City.

And a highlight from this past year?

The highlight of this year… The amazing people I have met.
