International specialists participate in “Clinical Cases of Skin Surgery”, book by professor Joaquín Sopena

The book, which has just been translated into English and Chinese, was presented recently in an international conference in Mexico.

SERVET Publishers, a leader and specialist in animal health books, has just launched the English and Chinese translations of the book Clinical Cases of Skin Surgery, written by Professor and Vice-Dean of Veterinary Medicine at University CEU Cardenal Herrera Joaquín Sopena.

Professor Sopena has gathered in the book contributions from over twenty national and international experts, as well as the members of the Research Group in Applied and Experimental Veterinary Surgery, led by Sopena himself. The works approach different surgical treatments in small animals, from simple treatment to cosmetic surgery with therapeutic ends.

“The treatment of wounds continues to be one of the most common cases in our daily clinical practice. We observe the improper handling of wounds and, from our point of view, the moist wound healing continues to be a pending issue in many cases,” Sopena highlights. In this light, the book “centers on the application of the most commonly used techniques in wound treatment, but emphasizing the content in technical explanations of the different procedures.”

Structured into five chapters that collect case studies with an increasing complexity, this study aims to provide an approach “with a high number of images that will aid the reader in following the cases.”

Clinical Cases of Skin Surgery was recently presented in Mexico, within the framework of the 29th Convention of the Official College of Veterinary Doctors specialising in small animals in the state of Jalisco. Professor Joaquín Sopena exhibited the main cases collected in this book which the publisher will be circulating to an international readership with translations into English and Chinese.
