Our university’s Design School has once again been selected to participate in Nude Show, a young design talent exhibition that will take place next February in the framework of Feria Hábitat Valencia.
The international Hábitat Trade Fair is a world-renowned fair that brings together all players currently operating in the decoration and design industries. From February 1-5, this salon will give the opportunity to young designers to showcase their work in a professional environment.
Like in previous years, a selection of works and projects by students of Industrial Design at University CEU Cardenal Herrera will be presented in this annual event, as our university is one of the nine Spanish design schools that have been invited to participate in it.
For the selection process, Nude Show has selected top renowned professionals closely linked to the field of design. Luis Calabuig, professor at our Technical School of Design, Architecture and Engineering and coordinator of the Master’s Degre in Product Design, as well as founder of Odosdesign, his own design studio. Together with him, designers Ximo Roca and Gelo Álvarez, businessman José Albargues and the President of ADI FAD Gracia Cardona make up the jury in charge of selecting the pieces.
University CEU Cardenal Herrera will also participate in Ágora Nude, a multidisciplinary space where different lectures related to architecture, design and culture will be held. Professor Manuel Bañó, who is behind the Free Design Bank project, will lead a talk on social design and its impact. Alberto Martínez from Cul de Sac, partner agency of our university in several academic projects, will also participate in this forum.
Different activities such as conferences and meetings are going to be held in connection with the Nude Show, as part of the global agenda See you in Valencia 2016, the initiative that, back over three years, brings together in the same dates and in the same place leader trade fairs in the industry sector.
