A summer full of…

One of the most wonderful feelings in the world is knowing you passed all of your exams and can enjoy summer vacation without any worries. It feels really good to take a break from university and simply relax. Instead of going to Miami to visit family and friends, my mother and grandmother came to spoil me with homemade meals in Valencia. It’s nice to be able to show family around a new city you now call home.

A summer to remember…
Indian wedding traditions

It’s certainly been a summer I will never forget. I was able to travel to India for a friend’s wedding. Definitely a once in a lifetime experience I never imagined to be a part of. Indian weddings are so colorful! They’re filled with so many meaningful traditions, delicious vegetarian meals and tons of Bollywood dancing! I’ve attached a video of the wedding in case anyone is interested in seeing how amazing it was.

Cala Moraig

Summer is all about exploring and being in the sun. Luckily, Spain has a generous number of incredible beaches to offer. Mallorca offers some of the most beautiful, turquoise water beaches I’ve ever visited. It’s also only a 30 minute flight from VLC. Closer to Valencia is El Saler which made me wonder why I don’t go there more often. It’s water is so blue and refreshing. A little further away is one of my new favorite beaches Cala Moraig. Its perfect for snorkeling and cliff diving. I’d definitely recommend water shoes!

If you’re into fitness, keep this in mind for next summer. The Beach Bol in Malvarrosa offers a variety of free fitness classes. Classes begin July 1st-August 31st. They offer fitness latino, yoga, cross-fit, taichi, and more! They are completely free and a great way to start your day.

I hope you all had a wonderful summer vacation. Best of luck with your studies this year. Don’t stress, do your best!
