Puede ser natural, sint\u00e9tico o semisint\u00e9tico. Cuando decimos que un microorganismo es resistente a un antibi\u00f3tico significa que puede crecer y reproducirse en presencia de este.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"background-color: #ffff99\">\u00abResistencia natural-Resistencia adquirida\u00bb<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Es importante destacar que la resistencia a los antibi\u00f3ticos puede ser natural o adquirida. La resistencia natural es una propiedad de la especie microbiana y la resistencia adquirida se debe a alteraciones gen\u00e9ticas que pueden transmitirse de una generaci\u00f3n a otra de cepas microbianas.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan la Organizaci\u00f3n Mundial de la Salud (OMS), la resistencia a los antibi\u00f3ticos est\u00e1 aumentando en todo el mundo a niveles peligrosos. Tal es la magnitud de este peligro, que se estima que para el a\u00f1o 2050 habr\u00e1 m\u00e1s muertes debidas a resistencias bacterianas que a otras enfermedades como el c\u00e1ncer.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"background-color: #ccffcc\">\u00abProyecto SWI@CEU\u00bb<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Por este motivo, esta universidad forma parte por segundo a\u00f1o consecutivo del proyecto SWI@CEU 2.0: \u00abConsolidaci\u00f3n del proyecto Small World Initiative\/Micromundo: Descubrimiento y uso racional de antibi\u00f3ticos mediante aprendizaje-servicio\u00bb.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"background-color: #ffff99\">\u00abSWI@CEU llega a Enfermer\u00eda\u00bb<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Este a\u00f1o han participado un total de 38 estudiantes universitarios, entre los que cabe destacar como novedad los alumnos del Grado de Enfermer\u00eda. Este proyecto permite dar a conocer el problema de la falta de antibi\u00f3ticos efectivos frente a infecciones causadas por bacterias multirresistentes a los alumnos de 7 centros de educaci\u00f3n secundaria y bachillerato de Valencia.
