Vicente is currently pursuing\u00a0a\u00a0degree in Business Administration with us and he is one of the eleven CEU students\u00a0who have carried out an internship in Spanish Embassies and Consulates<\/strong> abroad under the MAEC program<\/strong>. Moreover, Vicente was lucky enough with the destination he was given as he has had the opportunity to work in one of the most beautiful and amazing\u00a0cities in the world: the always amazing Paris<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Even with a grey sky (“la grisaille<\/em>“), Paris is a wonderful city!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

When I started the academic year 2015\/16,\u00a0University CEU Cardenal Herrera<\/strong>\u00a0offered me the opportunity to study one year abroad at the\u00a0\u00c9cole Sup\u00e9rieure du\u00a0Commerce Ext\u00e9rieur<\/em><\/a>\u00a0(ESCE) in Paris under the\u00a0Erasmus+ scheme<\/a>.<\/p>\n

While I was studying in France, I got acquainted with the\u00a0Scholarship Program\u00a0<\/strong>of the\u00a0Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation<\/strong>, which offered opportunities\u00a0<\/strong>to do internships in different Spanish Embassies and Consulates. I got the chance to be one of the students who got an internship and I ended up working four months at the Spanish Consulate in Paris, possibly one of the Consulates\u00a0whose services are most demanded.<\/p>\n

From the very beginning the Consulate tried to make everything easy so I could combine studying and working, thanks to the interest shown by\u00a0Chancellor Mrs.\u00a0M\u00aa Concepci\u00f3n Esteban Garc\u00eda<\/strong>\u00a0who happened to be my internship adviser too.<\/p>\n

I did my internship at the\u00a0Civil Registration<\/strong>, where I felt warmly welcomed by my colleagues. I acquired\u00a0new competences and I always felt supported by the members of the team and the rest of the staff at the Consulate, who were always willing to help the students that were there on a training. They always made an effort to understand our needs and the difficulties that can arise in these tasks, which normally require direct contact with citizens that turn to public institutions looking for a fast and efficient solution to\u00a0a specific problem.<\/p>\n

Lastly,\u00a0I wish to thank the Consulate staff, my colleagues during the internship and in particular the\u00a0Deputy Consul\u00a0Mr. Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Ridao Dom\u00ednguez<\/strong>, who made it possible for me to live this experience in the upmost rewarding way. I would also like to thank the\u00a0International Relations Office<\/strong>\u00a0at\u00a0University CEU Cardenal Herrera<\/a>\u00a0for affording me every facility during my academic stay and the Coordinator for the Business Administration and International Relations degree,\u00a0Ana Isabel Mateos Ans\u00f3tegui<\/a>.<\/p>\n
