En este sentido, en su \u00faltimo a\u00f1o de carrera solicit\u00f3, y obtuvo, una <strong>beca de colaboraci\u00f3n para trabajar en la C\u00e1tedra Jean Monnet<\/strong>, que regenta la Catedr\u00e1tica de Derecho Internacional <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uchceu.es\/directorio\/ssanz\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Susana Sanz<\/a><\/strong>. Ya como licenciada consigui\u00f3 una <strong>beca para trabajar en la <a href=\"http:\/\/ue.gva.es\/va\/presentacion\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fundaci\u00f3n Comunidad Valenciana-Regi\u00f3n Europea<\/a><\/strong>, \u00f3rgano de representaci\u00f3n de la Comunidad Valenciana ante las instituciones europeas. Durante estas pr\u00e1cticas, tuvo la oportunidad de representar a nuestra comunidad en distintas reuniones del Comit\u00e9 de las Regiones de la Uni\u00f3n Europea.<\/p>\n<p>De ah\u00ed salt\u00f3 a trabajar como <strong>asistente en la embajada de Chile\u00a0en Helsinki<\/strong>. Despu\u00e9s pas\u00f3 a trabajar en<strong>\u00a0la embajada\u00a0argentina,<\/strong> en la Secci\u00f3n Econ\u00f3mica e Inversiones<strong>,<\/strong>\u00a0tambi\u00e9n en la capital finlandesa. <strong>Actualmente<\/strong>\u00a0est\u00e1\u00a0trabajando para la <strong>embajada chilena en la Secci\u00f3n Econ\u00f3mica y Comercial<\/strong>&#8230; Como podr\u00e9is observar, la carrera profesional de Natalie est\u00e1 totalmente encauzada.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00bfQuer\u00e9is saber m\u00e1s sobre Natalie?<\/strong> A continuaci\u00f3n os dejamos algunas de las preguntas que le hizo el departamento de Relaciones Internacionales del CEU a Natalie:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>P.\u00a0<strong>Which are your professional aims at work?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>R. <em>I appreciate having a certain amount of autonomy to develop new projects and ideas. I believe this is the best way to prove your worthiness<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>P. Which is your last project\/work? And the most important?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>R.<\/strong><\/em> <em>Last June 10-12 the Embassy organized an investment road-show with the visit of the Director and Deputy Director of the Chilean National Investment Committee. We divided the delegation in two groups, the first one with an institutional profile allowing Chilean representatives to meet their counterparts from Finnish public agencies and ministries and a second part, aimed to private investors. In this regard, an investment seminar was organized at the headquarters of Finnvera (the Finnish export credit agency). It is my most important project because among the attendants there were senior executives of the largest banks and insurance\/investment funds and 2 Secretaries of State from the Ministry of Economy and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, respectively.\u00a0<\/em><em>I am currently organizing a dried fruits trade mission which will visit Finland on September 2-4 as part of their tour throughout Scandinavia. This delegation is partly funded by ProChile, the equivalent to the Spanish ICEX.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>P. Do you think your academic training at University have helped you in your daily work?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>R.<\/strong><\/em> <em>Undoubtedly, our academic background is an asset.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>P. Tell us briefly how a usual day at your work is.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>R.<\/strong><\/em> <em>I can\u00b4t really say I have a routine or something like that. It really depends on the day and the events ahead. As I am in charge of the economic and commercial section, during the year I draft 4 macroeconomic reports about Finland and Estonia (one for each economic quarter), the \u201cDoing Business guide\u201d for both countries and the yearly trade program of the Embassy.\u00a0<\/em><em>I organize missions\/delegations visiting Finland and Estonia, trade promotion activities and I am in charge of the financial accounts of the Embassy. Exceptionally, I prepare Ambassador\u2019s speeches.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>P. In general, what is your impression of the studies you did at CEU Cardenal Herrera University<\/strong>?<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>R.<\/strong><\/em> <em>I am very satisfied with my years at the University. I used to think it was a pity that no more economic and international relations extra-curricular activities\/seminars\/ workshops were organized however I understand not everybody may find them useful\/interesting enough.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>P.<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Would you recommend CEU Cardenal Herrera University to people with academic interests like your own?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>R.<\/strong> Definitely<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>P.\u00a0How were your professors like? Did they motivate you to excel in your field of expertise, to reach for more than what might be considered the norm?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>R.<\/strong> Most of them wanted us to become as passionate as they were in their fields of expertise. I remember Susana Sanz encouraging us to do an internship abroad, Evaristo Ferrer sharing its economic analysis dossiers, drafting our first\u2019s socio-political reports for Arturo Sanchis and Ainhoa Uribe, among others.
