Malvarrosa and Arenas beaches

The night of San Juan is an ancient tradition that celebrates Summer solstice between the 23rd and 24th of June. It is celebrated all over Spain, especially in Alicante, but there are lots of parties and activities in Valencia too.

Bonfires are the theme of the night. It is a nice evening to get together with friends around a fire (yes, on San Juan´s night you can set a fire on the beach!), have dinner and drinks, enjoy outdoor concerts and see the magic atmosphere that there is along the beach. It is worthy!

If you want to learn more about Valencian culture and traditions, celebrate this year San Juan´s Night in “Playa de las Arenas” or “Malvarrosa”. It is a memorable, almost surreal scene that definitely needs to be experienced. So buy some firewood, food and drinks and have fun!
