Valencia city, celebrates each year the final days of the winter and the arrival of spring with spectacular fires and pyrotechnics. From March 15 to 19 (the feast of Saint Joseph, day of the father in the whole country), Valencia is given over to a carnival of bonfires, fiesta, fireworks and a famous satire known as\u202fLas Fallas.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Displayed on every corner all over the city are colorful “ninots”, giant papier-m\u00e2ch\u00e9 figures often 20 feet tall or even more that have been paraded through the streets and then placed in fantasy groups to tower over excited spectators.\u00a0\u00a0On that occasion, the university UCH CEU offers a wide range of activities, in collaboration with the fantastic Falla Na Jordana.<\/a><\/strong>
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

First, the office Campus Life organizes a guided tour of the Fallero Museum <\/strong> in Valencia the Sunday, 11th of March at 10:30 am.\u00a0After the guided tour<\/strong>, we will assist in the cooking of traditional paellas<\/strong> in the open air at Falla Na Jordana.<\/p>\n

The meeting-point is at the entrance to the Fallero museum, Plaza Monteolivete, 4, 46006 Valencia.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Then, Thursday\u00a015th of March at 6pm you can take part of a w<\/b>alking tour of the best <\/b>fallas<\/b> in the city center<\/b>. If you don\u2019t understand what the Fallas are, sign up for<\/span><\/span> this <\/span><\/span>activity<\/span><\/span>. Afterwards, <\/span><\/span>we will finish by walking around Ruzafa district<\/strong> to see the beautiful illuminations which annually win some prizes.<\/p>\n

The meeting-point is at the metro station \u00c1ngel Guimer\u00e0 (<\/span><\/span>the exit <\/span><\/span>in<\/span><\/span> the <\/span><\/span>Gran Via<\/span><\/span> park<\/span><\/span>)<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n

Both activities are free for CEU students<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

Finally, the last activity will take place the 19th of March at 8pm at \u201cFalla Na Jordana\u201d (Carrer de Salvador Giner, 9 in Valencia). You can experience the Crem\u00e0<\/i><\/strong> \u2013 the burning of the falla<\/i> \u2013 at first hand and close up alongside the falleros<\/i> themselves of Na Jordana (the little one of the kids and the big one too at midnight).<\/p>\n

The price is 18 euros per person (payment is required the same day in place).<\/p>\n
