This year, and for the first time, the Ekiden Competition introduced a University competition. The race consisted in a\u00a0marathon relay of 42.7 km.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The University of Cardenal Herrera (UCH-CEU) participated with one team in the men&#8217;s\u00a0contest and another one in the mixed gender contest. These teams were composed by the members of the sport clubs of CEU-TRIATLON and CEU-RUNNERS that train every week under the supervision of the coach Emilio Aguayo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The results were surprising, as we finished in 3rd position in the males university teams\u2019 and in 4th position in the mixed gender university teams.
