These were some of the questions answered during lunch with our\u00a0<strong>students of Pathway to Communication<\/strong>\u00a0and Guillermo Navarro, the founder of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/wikipaella.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Wikipaella<\/strong><\/a>, El\u00edas Dur\u00e1n, dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Communication and Pepe Mart\u00ednez, Coordinator of International Relations.<\/div>\n<\/header>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"td-container\">\n<div class=\"td-pb-row\">\n<div class=\"td-pb-span12 td-main-content\" role=\"main\">\n<div class=\"td-ss-main-content\">\n<div class=\"td-post-content tagdiv-type\">\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-18372 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.uchceu.es\/campus-life\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/37\/2020\/12\/Paella.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"618\" height=\"371\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.uchceu.es\/campus-life\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/37\/2020\/12\/Paella.jpg 618w, https:\/\/blog.uchceu.es\/campus-life\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/37\/2020\/12\/Paella-500x300.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 618px) 100vw, 618px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We all gather at\u00a0<em>Rac\u00f3 de la Paella<\/em>, a Spanish restaurant adorned with colourful patterned tiles and sit at the round table. It\u2019s lunch time so the restaurant is full of people who came to enjoy tasty food and nice atmosphere. While waiting for the food we chat about Spanish cuisine and share our experiences. Our students come from\u00a0<strong>many different countries<\/strong>\u00a0such as\u00a0<strong>Iceland<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Kazakhstan<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>France<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Venezuela<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Nicaragua<\/strong>\u00a0and all of them know perfectly what\u00a0<em>paella<\/em>\u00a0is.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is the reason why the association Wikipaella was found\u201d, explains Guillermo Navarro. He adds, \u201c<em>Paella<\/em>\u00a0has become an attractive worldwide brand. We are happy about it but at the same time our traditional dish is losing its authenticity. Wikipaella is trying to define what the authentic\u00a0<em>paella<\/em>\u00a0is and show the diversity of\u00a0 Spanish culture.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-18375 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.uchceu.es\/campus-life\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/37\/2020\/12\/DSC_0091.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"618\" height=\"358\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.uchceu.es\/campus-life\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/37\/2020\/12\/DSC_0091.jpg 618w, https:\/\/blog.uchceu.es\/campus-life\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/37\/2020\/12\/DSC_0091-518x300.jpg 518w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 618px) 100vw, 618px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After enjoying some traditional\u00a0<em>tapas<\/em>\u00a0the owner of the restaurant invites us to the kitchen so that we could see what the process of making\u00a0<em>paella<\/em>\u00a0is. The chef explains some interesting details about the ingredients and assures that our\u00a0<em>paella valenciana<\/em>\u00a0with chicken and rabbit will be very tasty. We soon find out that he didn\u2019t lie.<\/p>\n<p>However, students are told that it is quite a big challenge to find a really good paella here in Spain because of the massive tourism. For that reason, another objective of Wikipaella is to support restaurateurs who uphold the gastronomic traditions and let people know where they can find tasty, fresh and authentic food.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h2><strong><em>\u201cPaella<\/em>\u00a0has become an attractive worldwide brand. We are happy about it but at the same time our traditional dish is losing its authenticity\u201d, says founder of Wikipaella<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>After the dessert everybody feels full and happy. Moreover, the students are already planning on going all together to one of the restaurants that the founder of Wikipaella has recommended. \u201cMy grandmother is coming to visit me next week so I\u2019m definitely going to take her to eat\u00a0<em>paella<\/em>,\u201d says\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/blog.uchceu.es\/publicidadyrrpp\/en\/fifty-is-just-a-number\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Ragnar<\/strong><\/a>, one of our students who is extremely interested in Spanish culture.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-18378 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.uchceu.es\/campus-life\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/37\/2020\/12\/DSC_0065.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"618\" height=\"351\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.uchceu.es\/campus-life\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/37\/2020\/12\/DSC_0065.jpg 618w, https:\/\/blog.uchceu.es\/campus-life\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/37\/2020\/12\/DSC_0065-528x300.jpg 528w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 618px) 100vw, 618px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Guillermo Navarro thinks that such activities not only educates, but also enriches and broadens one\u2019s horizons.
