“Are you having trouble choosing whether to live in\u00a0Valencia or\u00a0Moncada\/Alfara del Patriarca?<\/strong> You might\u00a0be wondering which\u00a0of the two might be the best place for you to live.\u00a0Well, Hakuna Matata<\/em>. Let me tell you all about it.<\/p>\n

Valencia<\/a> is with no doubt, a very beautiful\u00a0and historical\u00a0city. By day, you can shop at malls, visit museums, go to the beach and get a tan. By night,\u00a0you could go to beautiful\u00a0restaurants, go to the movies, watch a soccer\u00a0match in the stadium or even watch a play\u00a0in a theatre. There are so many exciting things you could try every single day. But let’s face it, it would really depend on your timetable, the\u00a0course you are studying at the University\u00a0and its level of difficulty.<\/p>\n

If you are studying a course which you find easy and chill, not very difficult. Or if you have very few lectures during the week; not a very busy\u00a0schedule. Then I would suggest, Valencia is the place for you<\/strong>. You could take the metro<\/a>, which is about 20 minutes to arrive to the University (Seminari-CEU) from the center of Valencia. You would then go to your lectures and take the metro back when you finish. Doesn’t really seem like a big deal. An overall of about 40 to 50 minutes of travel per day.<\/p>\n

However, If you have a busy schedule\u00a0with morning and afternoon\u00a0lectures with\u00a03 or 4 hour break in between them. You would have\u00a0a choice of either traveling all the way to Valencia\u00a0and returning for the afternoon lecture. Or you could stay\u00a0the entire day at the University<\/a>. Some of the students who live in Valencia\u00a0find both ways sometimes exhausting.\u00a0Nevertheless, let me tell you one thing.<\/p>\n

The most important factor you MUST<\/strong>\u00a0have in order to live in Valencia is… Being\u00a0active<\/em>. Meaning, \u00a0you would have no problem waking up almost everyday very early in the morning to take the\u00a0metro and arrive\u00a0on time. And you would have no problem traveling multiple times by metro. All this must be worth it if you love living in the city, with so many shops right near you and many people around you. You would never feel alone, which would be the utmost advantage, as well as going out almost every night.<\/p>\n

If you hate waking up early in the morning and hate traveling\u00a0by metro all the time,\u00a0then I would say no, do not live in Valencia. In other words, if you describe yourself being more of an inactive<\/em> type of person, which is my case<\/em>, then I\u00a0suggest live in Moncada<\/strong> or Alfara del Patriarca<\/strong>\u00a0instead, for your studies’ sake<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\"\"The advantage of living in Moncada<\/a> or Alfara<\/a> is very clear. The University is right next to you. The supermarket is right next to you, the library<\/a> as well, right next to you… Everything you NEED<\/strong> is right next to you. But everything you\u00a0want<\/strong>\u00a0may not be.<\/p>\n
