During March, besides the trip \u201cFrance \u2013 Switzerland: Experiencing Architecture<\/strong><\/a>\u201d the Technical School (ESET) students of Architecture had another short trip to Morella<\/strong> and Pe\u00f1\u00edscola<\/strong>. The trip began early in the morning. We departed from the ESET in Alfara del Patriarca towards our first destination: Morella.<\/p>\n

Guided by our teacher Andr\u00e9s Ros<\/strong><\/a> we visited the Our Lady of Consolation School (Colegio Nuestra Se\u00f1ora de la Consolaci\u00f3n), work of Spanish architect Carme Pin\u00f3s. This building was built in 1994 and in 1995 it was awarded with the Spanish Architecture Prize<\/strong> (Premio de Arquitectura Espa\u00f1ola). There we visited all the facilities of the building such as classrooms, cafeteria, and multipurpose room, among others. The School-House of Morella is a work of Carme Pin\u00f3s with Enric Miralles. We also visited the Dorms, a small complex of bedrooms where foreign students live while they study.<\/p>\n

Later, we also visited the historic center of the walled city, the Cathedral, and the Castle of Morella.<\/p>\n

After lunch we headed towards Pe\u00f1\u00edscola<\/strong>. In these two cities of the Valencian Community you can still see their ancient walls. Thanks to that and to the medieval style the cities have they have been chosen for filming movies and TV series.<\/p>\n

In Peniscola we walked through the historic center, part of the port, and the walls, including the renaissance wall. This wall is fa\u00e7ade to the fort, and in 2015, scenes for the sixth season of the HBO series Game of Thrones<\/strong> were shooted there.<\/p>\n

By the end of the day, after a last walk around the port of Peniscola, we returned to Valencia.<\/p>\n
